SDRC Helps Gordon 'Get There Faster'

CINCINNATI, OH. - - As a proud sponsor, SDRC, a leading global provider of product development solutions and developer of I-DEAS and Metaphase® Enterprise software, congratulates Hendrick Motorsports and Jeff Gordon on their 1998 NASCAR Winston Cup Series championship, recently concluded November 8 in Atlanta. SDRC is also proud to be a part of the winning solution by supplying Hendrick Motorsports with its award-winning I-DEAS software for the design and development of the team's NASCAR Winston Cup racecars.

"SDRC's I-DEAS software has allowed our engineering team to analyze and make design changes quickly," said Jim Wall, Hendrick's lead engineer. "All of our engineers can share the same design information and both current and historical layouts, which is a major time-saver. This is the type of advantage that helps Jeff Gordon and his team win these competitive NASCAR races."

SDRC expanded the relationship with Hendrick Motorsports earlier this year. The I-DEAS technology plays a significant role at Hendrick in the research and development of faster, higher performance race cars for their whole operation. The software does this through using state-of-the-art design, analysis, and manufacturing capabilities.

"SDRC congratulates Jeff, and the entire Hendrick team in their support of Jeff, on his three titles," said Bill Carrelli, vice president of marketing for SDRC. "It is rewarding to everyone at SDRC that our I-DEAS technology has been applied to such a dynamic sport. We're excited about this opportunity to share in the thrill of victory."
