Freedom Park - Charlotte, N.C.
November 5

THE CAUSE: On November 5, The Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation will be a part of The Charlotte CureSearch Walk at Freedom Park. If you live in the Charlotte area, JOIN the team at Freedom Park. If you're unable to attend the Walk, please consider joining the team as a Virtual Walker, which allows you to start your own fundraising campaign. All money raised through the online drive will go toward research by the Children's Oncology Group, a network of physicians, nurses, and scientists who treat 90 percent of North American children with cancer. CureSearch is a 501(c)(3) charity -- your donation is tax deductible to the extent provided by law.

THE REASON: Every day, 35 children are diagnosed with pediatric cancer - 7 of those children will not survive. Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children. Although the cure rate is now 78 percent - up by 30 percent in the last 20 years - it is not good enough. Our goal is a 100 percent cure rate.
